The following new features are available in Bug Pad 2.0.
When you first login to an existing database or file using Bug Pad 2.0, you will be prompted to update your data store. Once a file is updated, you will not be able to use it with Bug Pad 1.0.
If your data store is a SQL Server database, you will be able to continue using it with Bug pad
1.0 clients.
1. View Management
- as well as each user having their own default view, each folder can
now have its own view for each user. 2. Default filter - the built-in default view filters out closed work items, making working with
the folders more manageable.
3. Rename work item fields - you can re-label values in the work item screen. The new name
will be used for the field throughout the system. 5. Add your own icons
- in addition to the built in colored globe icons, you can add any icon
to the list of available icons. 7. Quick Search
- there is a new simple way to search for work items, just type any value in
the work item into the search box and click search. 9. Go To work item
- if you know the work item number of a work item, you can open it
quickly using the Go To command. 10. Find text in work item - you can search for text in the history of a work item using the new
work item find bar. 11. Select Multiple Folders - you can select more than one folder or search folder to see work
items from all selected folders in the list. 12. Visual Studio Add In - Bug Pad now includes an add-in for Visual Studio 2005 and 2008,
so you can manage you work items without leaving the Visual Studio IDE.
